Vài công cụ nổi bật và độc đáo nhất:

* World Atlas: bản đổ chi tiết đồ sộ của Encarta. Để sử dụng chương trình, bạn bấm vào Homework Tools > Geography Tools > World Atlas hay bấm vào Discover & Learn > Explore Encarta by Subject > Geography > World Atlas.
Bạn có thể tự mình khám phá thế giới hay tìm một địa danh nào đó bằng cách gõ tên vào khung Search ở góc trên bên phải. Có 20 loại bản đồ khác nhau được chia theo chủ đề để dễ quan sat và theo dõi như bản đồ về vùng chính trị (Political), điều kiện tự nhiên (Physical Features), ngôn ngữ (Language)… Bạn cũng có thể zoom lớn ngỏ bản đồ để tiện quan sát. Để xem chú thích những kí hiệu trên bản đồ, bạn hãy đọc trong mục Map Legend.

* Country Facts and Figures: số liệu thông kê về tất cả các nước trên thế giới được cập nhập đến thời điểm nửa năm sau năm 2006. Để sử dụng chương trình bạn bấm vào Homework Tools > Geography Tools > Country Facts and Figures. Ví dụ bấm vào Vietnam Facts and Figures để tìm hiểu các số liệu thực tế về Việt Nam như diện tích, dân số, chỉ số sức khỏe… Bấm vào quốc kì góc bên trái bạn có thể nghe quốc ca của quốc gia đó.

* Flags of the world: tìm hiểu quốc kỳ và quốc ca của các nước trên thế giới. Đầu tiên bạn chọn châu lục, sau đó chọn quốc gia cần tìm hiều. Bấm vào quốc kỳ để phóng lớn lên xem và bắt đầu nghe quốc ca. Để sử dụng chương trình, bạn bấm vào Homework Tools > Geography Tools > Flags of the world.

* World Languages Interactivity: nghe và so sánh giữa các loại ngôn ngữ trên thế giới. Để sử dụng chương trình, bạn bấm vào Homework Tools > Geography Tools > Languages Interactivity. Bấm nút Pharases, bấm tiếp vào mũi tên đen hướng xuống để lựa chọn một trong những ngôn ngữ có số người sử dụng nhiều nhất trên thế giới. Ví dụ ở đây chọn Vietnamese. Bấm vào biểu tượng cái loa để nghe người Việt nam nói nghĩ của chữ Greeting là gì (Chào), bấm vào chữ Proverb để nghe một câu tục ngữ của người Việt đó là “Chủ vắng nhà gà vọc niêu tôm”, còn khi bấm vào 1-10 thì bạn sẽ được nghe cách đọc từ 1 đến 10 bằng tiếng Việt. Tương tự cho các ngôn ngữ còn lại.
